New Releases

Debora M. Coty released Too Blessed to be Stressed … Inspiration for Every Day with Barbour. Dr. Daniel Amen signed a two-book deal with Tyndale. Debora Coty signed with Barbour for the next book in her Too Blessed to be Stressed series, this one specifically for moms! Look for Too Blessed to be Stressed for Moms in 2018.

Shellie Rushing Tomlinson signed with Barbour for the publication of Devotions for the Hungry Heart, a one-year devotional drawing on Shellie’s personal experience and identifying six attitudes of the heart that position the Jesus-hungry follower closer to God’s gracious table.

New Releases

Josh Aronson and Denise George released Orchestra of Exiles with Berkley Books. Cristóbal Krusen published They Were Christians with Baker Books. What We’re Celebrating!

Tough As They Come by SSG Travis Mills and Marcus Brotherton received a Christopher Award in the Books for Adults category. Mills and Brotherton will be honored at the 67th annual Christopher Awards, to be presented in New York City on May 19th, 2016.

Orchestra of Exiles by Josh Aronson and Denise George was featured in the New York Post’s “Required Reading” column.

Dianne Christner’s Covered Bridge Charm reached #9 on the EPCA Fiction Bestseller list!

New Releases

Bruce Main re-released Why Jesus Crossed the Road with FaithHappenings Publishers. Tim Maurer published Simple Money with Baker Books. Margot Starbuck and David King released Overplayed: A Parent’s Guide to Sanity in the World of Youth Sports with Herald Press. New Releases

Dianne Christner published Covered Bridge Charm with Shiloh Run Press. Set against the backdrop of the Sweet Life Assisted Living Facility in Sweet Home, Oregon, it follows the story of Carly Blosser, a 27-year-old woman who has her own ideas and an independent spirit–two things no Mennonite woman should have–as she works to reunite one of the facility’s elderly residents with her long-lost love.

Barry Corey’s new book, Love Kindness, will publish next month from Tyndale. Dr. Corey, president of Biola University, begins with a thought-provoking question: When did Christians stop being kind? April Knight signed with David C. Cook for her devotional #scripturedoodle. Part of a two-book deal, #scripturedoodle will stretch readers to explore the Bible creatively through inspiring and interactive illustrations of scripture each day.

What We’re Celebrating!!

Very happy, proud, and honored . . . for Julie Cantrell who was awarded two Christy Awards (the Christian awards for the previous year’s novels) at last week’s ICRS convention. She not only won in the “Debut Novel” category, but the Christy’s also added a new category this year: Novel of the Year. And Into the Free, Julie’s first novel, was awarded the best novel in all of Christian publishing for 2012. Wow. A starred review in Pubisher’s Weekly, a New York Time’s bestseller…and now this. Way to go, Julie! It couldn’t happen to a nicer lady.

Jan Drexler’s The Prodigal Son Returns continues to do well. She recently received news that she is a double finalist in the TARA contest. Way to go, Jan!

Jordyn Redwood’s debut novel, Proof, became a finalist in the Carol Awards in the “Debut Novel” category. Awards will be given at this September’s ACFW in Indianapolis. As we all like to say around here, “Strong work!”
